Welcome to the Cake Decorators Q&A
Lettering
Hi.I am very new in decorating cakes. I have been asked to make a cake with a very long message. It is a 10 in cake and my lettering cutters are to big to fit. Can anybody suggest anything to make it look nice.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I have just done a 10″ birthday cake and I have used patchwork cutters – their lettering/number sets are brilliant. Remember to use modelling paste, that way you can get them really thin. Good luck. 🙂
Hi patonino
There are several answers on the site which might help. If you look here http://www.cakeflix.com/questions/anyone-have-a-cricut, here http://www.cakeflix.com/online-cake-decorating-courses/chocolate-buttercream-cornelli, Paul shows how to write a simple message and here http://www.cakeflix.com/online-cake-decorating-courses/techniques-course-decorating-with-royal-icing, in lesson 9 of the royal icing tutorial. Hope the info helps.
