Hi Anyone know what to do to keep the colour on a cake when in a shop window, darker colours seem to fade a little and some pale colours just turn to white

Over time colours do fade from ultra violent rays and artificial lighting. The only protection is to shield the cakes from direct sunlight or strong light. My local cake shop displays only two dummy cakes in her window at a time, rotating every couple of weeks or so, I don’t know whether that could be an option for you. Dummy cakes can also have a colour touch up if fading too quickly.
