I have white cigarillos, what combination of cake and ganache should I use? Can I use vanilla cake with dark chocolate ganache? What works best ?

White chocolate ganache works best with vanilla cake but it’s personal preference, lots of people use milk or dark chocolate. Ganache can be flavoured as well, you’ve got a broad choice.

Thanks, because it’s for a birthday celebration I am overthinking it! Was wondering if vanilla cake with white ganache and white cigarillos would be sickly?

It can be sickly if you use a less expensive white chocolate. I tend to team white chocolate with a tart raspberry preserve or a sharp lemon curd which cuts nicely into the sweetness.
