Using edible printing sheets
Does anyone have any tips regarding removing the printed icing sheets from the backing paper once they are printed. I am having difficulty with this finding they are tearing. Thank in advance. Tess

Whenever I’ve used them the instructions were to pop them in the freezer for a few minutes before use, you can then carefully bend the backing and the icing sheet should be stiff enough to start to lift and allow you to peel it off. I’ve only ever used this method for cupcake toppers though but it should work on a larger sheet as well, just don’t leave them in too long or the picture could start to melt when they defrost.
Hi Tess,
I tend to slip a very fine bladed knife into one of the corners, under the icing sheet and then slowly move the knife in and it should start to peel away.
I use my hair dry for 30 seconds on the back (non-printed side) then roll it over the counter edge, slip a ruler in to separate.
Thanks all for the hints and tips, I’ll give them a go.
