I have struggled to fix dummy cakes to cake boards . I used a glue gun as seen on U tube but it didn’t stick and melted the dummy cake ! What do people prefer to use ?

I use Royal icing for large dummies and dark ganache for smaller ones. Neither has given me any problems, both are easy to wash off if needs be.
