Hi please can somebody tell me how tall Paul’s teddy bear cake stands? I’d like to know if it will fit into a standard cake box with room to put the lid on. I am going to do the extra half head as shown in the video .

Mine end up around 7.5 – 8″ tall. The box needed extenders to get the lid over. We made the extenders to go all the way round from old cake boxes. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much. I have just looked on line to see what cake extenders look like but it seems as though I could perhaps make my own. Please can you give me an idea on how to make them?

We cut four side pieces and cellotaped them avout an inch down from the inside edge of the box. You can use double sided tape to make life a bit easier. All it’s doing is making the sides taller, do the box up in the normal way. I hope I’ve explained properly. x

Many thanks. Ok so did you stick the extenders an inch down from each corner of the lid, or the actual box where the cake sits?

You stick it on inside of the box where the cake sits. To get a better idea, make the box up first, attach the strips horizontally to bond with the four sides of the box to increase the height. Make the box as tall as you require.
