anyone know where you can buy the 90% + alcohol from? I have tried all my local chemists large and small and none of them are able to sell it or can get it for me. They apparently need a fire cupboard in order to stock it, so can’t even get it for a special order. I have also looked on line and am struggling to find it.

In the UK we cannot buy “alcohol” without a licence from customs and excise. When we talk about “alcohol” most people will assume we are talking about ethanol. What you need is isopropyl alcohol which I purchased from my local pharmacy a couple of months ago. To get food grade you need to ask for isopropyl alcohol BP.
Isopropyl alcohol is also known as isopropanol. It can be bought on Amazon.
