Just wondering if anybody has tried the shell & shine and the pump – push edible glitter dust? if so,how do you use it? I have tried searching online but cant seem to find anything and also to have a look at some christmas cake designs! I wanted to try it out on my own cake this year but I seem to be stuck on idesign ideas…..which is unusal for a cake designer!!!

Hi I have both the gold and silver push and pump sprays .I use them a lot for giving sparkle to icing and a nice gold shimmer to chocolate tray bakes .You could decorate your Xmas cake with choc and white choc maltesers sprayed with this glitter .Easy but affective .Would look great on a chocolate cake .One word of caution is that it tends to float aboutwhen sprayed so be careful to remove anything nearby that you don’t want to glitter !

Hi helenaCampbell

Here is information of the push and pump edible glitter with video:
https://www.thecakedecoratingcompany.co.uk/set-of-3-cake-lace-pump-push-edible-glitter
and on the shell and shine from dinkydoodle here: http://www.cake-stuff.com/edibles-c1/essential-edibles-c38/glazes-cleaner-c41/dinkydoodle-shell-shine-400ml-edible-clear-glaze-varnish-p8481

Push and pump glitter I haven’t used but it does appear to be an easy way of applying glitter to small or large surfaces. The instructions are there with the product description. I’ve used the shell and shine at Dawn Butler’s demos at the cake shows. The product leaves a high shine after several layers and is similar to the PME spray gloss. As the product is formulated from shellac it will leave a slight yellowish tinge when using on plain white cakes or other white decorations. For cake design inspiration, browse through google images to reignite your creativity. Good luck and Happy Christmas. 🙂
