Mich turner spectacular cakes (rich fruit cake recipe)
Hi, could anyone answer this question please .
I always use ground almonds in my fruit cakes however I have been looking at Mich Turners recipe for rich fruit cake, in her “spectacular cakes book ” and was wondering if there may be an error as there’s no mention of ground almonds . And has anyone used Mich’s recipe for a rich fruit wedding cake using the ingredients listed in her book.

We didn’t use ground almonds in our fruit cake recipe, but know many that do.
However, Mrs Jones fruit cake recipe on the website does use almonds….

Thank you madeitwithlove and David I will take a look now. Sometimes there is a typing error I just wasn’t too sure before I went ahead and made mich turners rich fruit cake , it’s always good to look at other good recipes , I know some recipes are a lot more expensive to make than others , I have tried many in my time and usually stick to my grandmothers but times are changing and so are many recipes.
