Hi which will keep a cake more moist butter or cooking oil

Cake made with oil will keep more moist than one made with butter although there will be a taste difference. Oil has no milk solids and therefore doesnot go hard when refrigerated. Dense cakes are better made with butter or a combination of butter and oil as in Paul’s moist chocolate cake recipe.
