Welcome to the Cake Decorators Q&A
How much cake to feed 50 people please!
Hello,
I have been asked to make a 50th birthday cake for a friend, to feed 50 people! I am planning to make a 2 tiered lemon cake, a 10 inch deep round base and 8 inch deep round on top. Will that be enough cake to serve 50 people, or do I need another tier? Please help!

Hi cookiesandcream,
A 10″ and 8″ round cakes will give you 64 – 2″x1″ portions.
Have a look at our portions calculator which will help with all your portions questions…

Thank you David, appreciate the advice. Will look at the portion calculator now!
In regards to the portions calculator say 10 and 8″ cakes
How deep are these… 4″
