Hello team,
I have been decorating cakes for a number of years for family and friends, and am in the process of starting up a business from home, as of yet I have not completed all my paperwork, I am making a cake for a local charity and would like to know the situation with regards to insurance if I am not charging for this cake.

It’s always best practice to have some kind of public liability insurance to safeguard yourself in the event of something going wrong. As a hobby baker myself, I consider it a necessitiy. Please take a peek at the following links which I think will be of help:
