Pantone colour of the year 2018

Each year Pantone Colour Institute announces the colour that symbolises with global design trends and cultural mood.  Pantone’s 2018 colour of the year is Ultra Violet.

“The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.” – Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute.

Prince with Purple Rain, Jimi Hendrix’s Purple Haze and Alice Walker’s novel The Colour Purple all portray strong individuality as they battle through adversity, it will be interesting to see which creative artists and brands use the UltraViolet during 2018.
