Highlights
Highlights of the male model course.
1. Making the gents legs
This design is all about creating cute models, but not being too careful regarding proportions so time to have a bit of fun.
In this lesson, Paul rolls out the legs and adds the socks and shoes. It proved a little more challenging than he expected!
NOTE: Paul puts the socks on the wrong side of the bamboo skewer so make sure that you add the socks to the pointed end.
2. Making the body and starting the jacket
Using simple shapes Paul creates the body and morning suit style jacket, but you can create whatever covering you like, but this guy is already starting to look very smart!
3. Adding detail to the jacket
You can spend as much or as little time as you like on the details, but as you’ll see it doesn’t take Paul long to turn this from a plain jacket to something quite stylish.
4. Adding the arms
Using simple techniques Paul adds the arms and manages to get a very stylish pose by placing one hand in the jacket pocket.
5. Making the head - Part 1
Getting the shape right is essential otherwise the whole model can look silly. Paul creates the head using some interesting shaping techniques, but just follow the process and watch how he gets the shape just right.
6. Making the head - Part 2
Adding the facial features gives the model it’s characteristics so it’s worth some time to get the detail just right.
7. Adding the head and finishing touches
This fashionable male model comes to life getting his beard, hair and touch ups. Paul finishes by adding a little glaze which gives that subtle shine that makes all the difference.
8. Other ideas
Paul shares some other ideas you can make with this type of design.
