Highlights

Highlights from the Pudsey Bear Live show.

1. Carving the cake

It’s time to get started! We begin by baking  a 10” round cake then Paul carved out the shape of Pudsey’s head using a template drawn earlier.

2. Covering with buttercream

For the next step Paul covers the cake using buttercream and answers a few burning questions from the live audience.

3. Icing the cake

Our Pudsey is beginning to take shape now as Paul gives him his signature colour and shows you step by step how to cover a cake using yellow fondant to get a smooth clean finish.

4. Covering the board

Every great cake artist should have this under their belt as Paul shows you how to cover a board using icing.

5. Making Pudsey's bandage

Now our Pudsey is really beginning to take shape as we make his bandage.

6. Adding the facial features

Our Pudsey is almost done! Paul completes the Pudsey look by adding the cute little nose, mouth and eye.

7. Finishing touches

To finish up Paul shows you how add that little bit of extra shine to the finished product.
