Which recipe would any recommend for Christmas fruit cake and which alcohol is vest to use thanks

In the baking section of the site there are two great recipes for fruit cake. One is from Paul and the other from Mrs Jones. At present, a lot of people are raving for Paul’s recipe. I can only comment on Mrs Jones’ recipe which is excellent. I have not yet baked Paul’s but it has much positive feedback.

Use the best brandy or other spirit you can afford. I use either Courvoisier or Martel. It’s up to your personal preference. In the past I have used Lamb’s navy rum and Caribbean spiced rum and also single malt whiskey. It really is down to individual taste.
