This timeless design would light up any celebration.  The colours can easily be adapted to suit the celebration. In this free Rainbow Sprinkles cake tutorial you will learn not only how to make this cake, but Paul throws in lots of extra hints and tips along the way.

To start, you will need 5x 6″ round cakes at 1″ depth. There are plenty of recipes to choose from in the BAKING section. If you need to change the sizes of any of the recipes provided please use our Cake Recipe Re-Sizing Calculator.

You will then learn how to make smooth buttercream before going on to properly layer a stacked cake. Paul then coats the cake in buttercream before adding the sparkle decorations. Finishing with some cute buttercream swirls this has to be the picture post card birthday cake design.
