Hi, In his tutorial Paul says “baking powder”. The ingredient list says “bicarbonate soda (baking soda)”. Which is it?

I’ve just peeked at the tutorial and Paul says bicarbonate of soda as in the written instructions. ?

At 48secs, when going through the ingredients. Nevertheless, thank you for clarifying.

Apologies for delay in replying. Yes I did notice that, however, when Paul in adding all the dry ingredients into the mixer bowl he says bicarbonate of soda. I think earlier was just a slip of the tongue.

The other ingredients, especially the acidic treacle requires bicarbonate of soda to make the cake rise by creating lots of co2 bubbles.
