Domed cupcakes
Hi
I’ve just been watching pauls vintage cupcake tutorial, and wonder how he got them with lovely rounded domes. I can get them flat, or sometimes with a little peak, which I cut off, but the design in the video really calls for the dome, anyone have any tips please?

I put buttercream on the cupcake and use a knife to smooth and round it so
Ot forms a dome shape. Then cut a large circle of sugar paste and lay it over the buttercream and cup it so it goes into the dome shape. Just smooth with hands
I would be inclined to over fill the cases very slightly so they rise just above the lip.
Thank you for your replies, will try the suggestions, also see on the internet that an initial higher baking temp might work. Think I’ll use a butterfly recipe too, as they are needed to have a raised top.
