why do you not see leaves when flowers are made

Strange question i know, but why it is when you see a cake with flowers on they very rarely have leaves.

Personal preference, design?  Also if you have seen the trouble I have threading a wire through centre of leaf you’d know why :-)!

I make leaves if using wired flowers, but try and avoid them for the same reasons as Jayess.

Hi Bev in my case practice doesn’t do any good :-).  I have bought every tool imaginable to aid my wiring leaves and it’s still hit and miss (more miss than hit).  I always have to make several before getting an accepatable one.  I am a bit fussy though.  Hope you have more success than me!

I don’t have a clue how to wire leaves lol. I’ve only just mastered how to do a wired rose. I’ve only been caking a year and just bought a book on them… Look sooo hard!
