just wondering can christmas cake be carved for novelty cakes x

When you say Christmas cake do you mean a fruit cake? If it is then yes it can. Paul carved out the goldfish cake from a fruit cake. Have a look at the goldfish tutorial to give you an idea on carving and covering. Choose a fruit cake which has been matured for at least two or three months, young cakes tend to be crumbly and would probably be quite difficult to carve. xx
