Mrs Jones sponge cake.

Hai, Can i bake Mrs Jones sponge cake in a tin one go like Paul’s chocolate cake for two hour? What is the different when baking using two tin and a tin?

Hai, Can i bake Mrs Jones sponge cake in a tin one go like Paul’s chocolate cake for two hour? What is the different when baking using two tin and a tin?

The reason this cake is baked in two tins is because the recipe would be too big to fit into one 10″ tin. Mrs Jones’ recipe is for two deep 10″ cakes, so there would be too much batter to fit it all in the one tin. You could use a bigger tin, say 12″ or 14″ if you wanted one big cake but you would have to increase your baking time and decrease your temperature.. I bake 12/14 ” cakes on 140c in a fan assisted oven for 2hrs.15min for the 12″ and 2hrs 30mins for 14″ or until done. All ovens are different so you would have to keep an eye on your cake.
