Its probably me but I found that Paul was too quick making the roses for this cake. I got a bit lost after the first few petals. I would need far closer camera work too to keep up. Another issue I have is about all the dowels Paul uses, is the cake full of holes when it comes to getting cut for guests?

I stop and start the video if I don’t quite get a technique and eventually the penny drops! Paul uses nine dowels to ensure the cakes are completely secure. The bride and groom make a symbolic cut into the cake while it is still stacked. The kitchen staff at the venue then remove the tiers and dowels out of sight and non of the holes are seen by the guests. The cakes are not damaged by the dowels and cake pieces come to guests with no sign of holes. Hope this helps.
