Mia’s Story
I have been in the cake decorating business for four years now and I simply love it! I have always been a creative person but Cakes of Mine came later on in life. How I got into this wonderful industry and then became a Paul Bradford Accredited Tutor is actually a surprising story that turned out to have a very happy ending. Following a very close encounter with an armed robber in my previous job as a train conductor, I took some time off from work. I loved my job as I got to meet a lot of interesting people and it suited me well as I am a very sociable person, so the change was quite a shock. It was during this time off that I started baking and cake decorating all night long. I found it very relaxing and it was a huge escape for me.
Before long, colleagues, friends and locals started buying my cakes and putting in orders and Cakes of Mine was born. Then they wanted to learn from me! I found PBSS online and I was hooked! I love the way Paul teaches – it feels like ‘my’ way of teaching. So I started running classes at home and the students came back to learn more. This was it! To combine cake decorating with teaching and making people’s dreams of creating beautiful cakes come true – this was what I really wanted to do with my life. So I took that scary step and I quit my train job. For the first time in a very long time, I felt so good.
I met Paul in Farnham in March 2014 for the first time and everything clicked. I then went to Scotland in September for the first Accredited Tutor Assessment event and I’m very proud that I’m actually one of the first Paul Bradford Accredited Tutors in the world!
So now, I’m very excited to offer Paul Bradford Courses here in Ängelholm, a beautiful seaside town in southern Sweden. Come and develop your skills with me, the Paul Bradford way!
