1. A Word on the Stand
Paul normally has his stands built for him, so before we begin to make the stand, we want to make sure you know the pros and cons of building it yourself.
13:52
2. Building the Structure
This is important to get right, you need to use the right materials and make sure your stand is solid before you continue. Paul puts his stand together using basic materials than can be found at any hardware store.
03:46
3. Sealing the Structure
Your cake can’t touch your stand for obvious reasons, health and safety being the main issue here. So Paul shows you how to seal your structure so no cake touches the stand.

4. The Body (part 1)
We start to stack the cake in this lesson, making sure there is not only enough cake for everyone to eat, but also that there is enough cake to carve into a 3D Bunny shaped body.
03:03
5. The Body (part 2)
We start to stack the cake in this lesson, making sure there is not only enough cake for everyone to eat, but also that there is enough cake to carve into a 3D Bunny shaped body.
07:10
6. Carving the Body
Paul carves the stacked cake into the shape of the bunny. We know this bunny is going to be wearing a dress, so we can allow for this while carving.
05:22
7. Carving the Head
We’ll be carving the head out of polystyrene as the weight of a 3D cake this size is always an issue. Paul uses some sugarpaste to bulk out the cheeks and smooths it over the polystyrene too.
24:37
8. Covering the Body
The body needs to be covered in sugarpaste even though we will be completely covering it with buttercream, to give that skin colour look for any areas where you’ll be able to see in between the sugarpaste (hopefully there won’t be any, though) and also to give the buttercream piping a strong base to cling to!
06:23
9. Piping
This is where the bunny really starts to look like a bunny! The piping gives a great 3D fur effect.
10:18
10. Attaching the Ears
One of the most distinguishing features of a bunny is the ears! So Paul takes a bit of time to create the floppy ear.
10:46
11. The Dress (part 1)
Across these two lessons, Paul adds the dress to our bunny. Using a number of tips and techniques, Paul creates a flowing dress that looks superb!

12. The Dress (part 2)
Across these two lessons, Paul adds the dress to our bunny. Using a number of tips and techniques, Paul creates a flowing dress that looks superb!
13:23
13. Bows and Arms
We’re starting to get to the end of this course now, it’s time to start adding some lovely touches to our bunny that will separate your cake from the rest…although the arms are very essential!
08:54
14. The Face
A controversial part of this bunny is the face, Paul went for a very cute look in this lesson, concentrating on how the mouth and eyes can work together to create a very different look.
02:05
15. Icing the Board
We used wood for the board of this cake, but it still needs to be iced! In keeping with the theme of the cake, Paul uses buttercream icing to give a grass effect.
13:54
16. Finishing Touches
This is it, the last lesson where everything comes together! Paul adds all the finishing touches to this epic course.
17:31
17. Bonus Lesson - Happy Ending
Following some feedback on facebook, Paul decided to add a bonus lesson to turn that frown upside down! We add a smile and overall, we now have a much happier bunny!
01:34
18. Other Ideas
With such a big course, there are a lot of ways we could change this bunny so Paul talks through some of the ideas he’d had.
01:35
19. Pro Lesson
We’re talking about pricing and timings as usual, however an important part of this cake is the stand and being able to deliver the cake so Paul talks about making sure the stand is safe and secure.
Gravity defying cakes are all the rage these days, so Paul turns his hand to creating this stunning 3D Bunny cake. Complete with a DIY stand and a choice of faces!
