Highlights from the Pudsey Bear cake course!

1. making buttercream and carving

We begin this cake by first making the delicious mint buttercream, Paul then goes on to show how to carve the cake.

2. covering the cake

Paul rolls out the sugarpaste and covers the cake with Pudsey’s signature yellow colour.

3. covering the board

For this lesson Paul covers the basics on how to cover a square cake board and transfer the cake onto the board.

4. feet and arms

Now that we’ve made the body it’s time to move on to making the feet and arms.

5. making the head

On to Pudsey’s head. Paul shows you how to cover a basic Styrofoam shape with sugarpaste.

6. adding the facial features

Now that the body and head is made, we move on to adding Pudsey’s facial features including the ears, eye patch and a black outline around the body and head.

 

7. finishing touches

Our Pudsey bear is almost complete, all that is left to do is add the spots on the bandanna and a few other finishing touches!
