1. Making the temple and discs
Danielle shows us the benefits of using strong petal paste when making super delicate designs using only a sharp knife. The key here is to make strong one movement cuts.
2. Making the flowers
In this lesson, Danielle shows us how to create her own star flower creation. She makes these using only sugarpaste which keeps things nice and simple. These are quick and easy to make and also look great.
3. Making the lace design
Here we learn how to make our very own custom lace designs using everyday cake tools such as piping nozzles, paintbrushes and cutters.
4. Dusting the lace design
Danielle now adds the final section of lace. She demonstrates how to achieve an interesting finish using two tonnes of dust.
5. Painting the temple
In this lesson, Danielle shows us how to paint the petal paste temple now that it’s dry. If you are not used to painting the trick is to dilute your paint to make it thin.
6. Painting the discs
Danielle now paints the discs with a lovely floral design, inspired by her travels around Asia. You can either use her design or create your very own.
7. Finishing touches
Here Danielle arranges all the decorations on the cake and shows us a great way to make them really pop using some gold dust and a sponge.
8. Other ideas
