Highlights
Some highlights from the cupcake bouquet tutorial.
1. Rosette - 2D (or 1M) nozzle
This is a very simple, but as you’ll see extremely effective, design which focuses on the swirl and can be coloured as you please.
A great start to producing this amazing bouquet.
2. Hydrangea - 2D (or 1M) nozzle
Another straightforward design, but this time Angela shows how to create a two-tone swirl. Great for this design and I’m sure you’ll have many uses for this technique.
3. Chrysanthemum - 80 nozzle outer petals (81 inside petals)
In this lesson, you’ll learn how to layer up the little buds and flowers to give a fantastic overall finish.
4. Piped rose - 124 nozzle
This is a classic technique which creates this beautiful rose and of course you can choose the colour and size.
5. Peony - 123 nozzle
Another simple, but effective technique to create the peony. With some piping practice you’ll get the petals really tight to create a very neat finish.
6. Tulip - Large Russian and 114M nozzles
Using a large Russian nozzle Angela creates the delightful tulip buds and with such a variety of colours to choose from you get the chance to personalise your design.
Angela doesn’t get the chance to finish the leaves on this one, but she’ll come back to that later.
7. Mini flower design
In this design, Angela brings together some of the techniques in the earlier lessons but manages to create smaller versions to make one amazing cupcake.
8. Adding the leaves - 70, 69, 68 Nozzles; star nozzles 16/15/14
To finish the designs Angela adds leaves to the cupcakes then gets ready to bring them all together for the final arrangement.
9. Bringing the bouquet of 7 together
This is where the magic starts! Angela takes you through the steps to bring these beautiful cupcakes together to create the amazing bouquet.
It can be difficult to tell the difference at this stage between a floral and cupcake bouquet, but I know which one I’d rather eat!
10. Bringing together the bouquet of 12
Now time for the deluxe bouquet! In much the same way as the bouquet of 7 there’s a knack to getting the cups lined up in the right way.
It’s then down to some cake arranging. For those who enjoy floristry and cakes this is a dream cake to make.

Angela ran her Sports Injury Clinic for 22yrs while also teaching Massage & Aromatherapy, but still managed the time to bake & made the kids birthday cakes.
After being asked to make a few ‘proper’ celebration cakes Angela realised that her passion for creation & embarked on Paul's Chocolate Wrap & Jimmy Choo shoe box courses back in 2011.
This was soon followed by the 5 Day stacked cakes/wedding cake & topsy turvy courses.
At the time Angela was working & making cakes part-time while living near Milton Keynes. However, in 2016 Angela moved back home to Fife, Scotland and traded kneading muscles for kneading icing.
Angelacakes HQ is operated from her home cake studio.
The love of teaching has once again come to the fore as Angela realised a knack for piping buttercream flowers. Her beginner & advanced classes at her home studio have gone off to a flyer.
I look forward to sharing more in the future.
