1. Carving the cake
In this lesson, Paul shows you how to carve the shape of the teddy bear using the templates provided. Once the teddy is all carved, we move on to carving the topsy turvy cake which goes on top.
2. Building the stand
In this lesson, you will learn how to create the internal structure which holds up the cake on top of the teddy.

The next step is to add our teddy on to the internal structure and ganache the cake
4. Covering the cake
In this lesson, you will learn how to cover all the nooks and crannies around the teddy bear cake in preparation for piping the buttercream.

In this lesson, Paul shows you the technique used to cover the board around the teddy and then how to cover the standard cake on top.
6. Lesson 6 - Adding the muzzle, ears and tail
Before we add the buttercream fur, there’s just a few more features to be added to the cake!
7. Applying the buttercream
Now it’s time to really bring this cute teddy to life! Paul shows you just how to pipe the beautiful buttercream blobs to create that amazing fur texture.
8. Nose, eyes and smile
In this lesson, Paul adds the cheeky little grin along with the cute nose and beady eyes.
9. Polka dots!
Paul creates the polka dot pattern on the top tier cake.
10. Adding the arms
Before we add the top tier cake, it’s important that we construct a firm base for the cake to sit and add the arms of course.
11. Making the #1
Paul shows you how to cut the number one from sugar paste and decorate with sugar crystals, once that is done we leave it to set and whilst setting Paul adds the top tier cake.
12. Finishing touches
Paul adds some more detail to the eyes and a little blush on the teddy’s face for some finishing touches.
