You can cover the sides simply using just the one colour, being sure to bring the edge above the floor line, however Paul uses a simple stripe effect which gives it that bit more finesse.

The models all use the same techniques to get the body, bust, legs and arms. Just by changing the positioning and expressions you get a totally different appearance and of course feel free to come up with your very own gym pose!

No gym is complete without water bottles, towels and even some weights lying around. These little extras really fill up then cake and give it that special rather than bare look.

11. Other Ideas
Paul discusses some other ideas for the design including a measuring tape round the side of the cake or possibly as the ribbon around the board. You could also simplify the design with less models and of course change the colours.
The Fitness cake is a great looking novelty cake which features four 3D models and all the elements to really set the gym scene, including the textured wooden floor, skipping rope and weights. This cake is perfect for a fitness fanatic, although you may want to cut the pieces smaller!
