Blown Isomalt Cornucopia Tutorial
In this tutorial, Sidney Galpern will demonstrate the amazing techniques of blown, pulled, and hand-sculpted isomalt. She will cover everything you need to know to get started, including materials, safety, coloring, flavoring, design, structure, combating humidity, and more. She will show the techniques to hand sculpt the pulled isomalt into the stunning hollow cornucopia, hand-pulled leaves, grasses, grapes, and then incorporate blown isomalt techniques to create apples, pears, and pumpkins. You will learn how to safely assemble the elements together, and also how to properly airbrush on isomalt to give each fruit soft, realistic shading, and finish to seal out moisture to save your isomalt pieces in any humidity level.
