Preparation and repetition is everything when it comes to making flowers and this poinsettia design is no different. In this first lessons Paul shows how to create leaves and petals using some imaginative techniques to show that you don’t necessarily need all the cutters and veiners as you can adapt some to create a range of floral shapes.

Again using some imaginative techniques you will learn how to create some of the smaller detailed elements which are all important in bringing the poinsettia to life. There’s a lot of small intricate work to start with but with so much repetition by the end of this tutorial you will be extremely comfortable and confident in replicating this again.

Getting the shading and dusting right makes all the difference when it comes to getting the desired finished article. Here Paul shows how to mix and match to get the colours to match the real flowers to give the most realistic finish.
