1. Pretty Posy

  • Make sure that the entire cake is correctly dowelled.
  • Start piping the stems at the bottom. You will get better output if you pause piping on every groove.
  • Make sure that you will cover every part with different shades of Green.
  • Make sure that the tip of your seamless bag is very close or touching the surface of your cake so that you can maintain the straight piping.
  • On piping a Rose: Make sure you pipe a good sturdy base. Petals should be tight and going around the mound. Be extra mindful on the angle or position of your piping tip as it will determine the final look of your Rose.
  • On piping Ranunculus: Make sure you pipe a good sturdy base. Petals are extra tight on this flower. Always maintain a ball shape as you pipe your petals.
  • On piping Scabious: Every petal is rufflly. Use the squiggle piping (squeeze and wiggle). As you add another layer, you will have to increase the angle of your piping tip as well.
  • On piping Hydrangeas: They are excellent filler flowers. Make sure that you pipe them in clusters.
  • On piping Chrysanthemum: curve part has to be at the bottom. Continuously squeeze as you are pulling away. As you add another layer, you will have to increase the angle of your piping tip as well.
  • It is easier to achieve a beautiful floral arrangement on your bouquet if you create a plan by marking your cake.
  • Use toothpicks to secure your frozen flowers.
  • Baby’s breath or Gypsophila flowers have to be tiny dots of White buttercream and should be done in clusters. As an option, you can also use small star piping tip like 14 or 16.
