Any ideas for decoration?

Hi arnolds, I made a retirement cake for a builder a few months ago. I used an impression mat on orange fondant for the outside of the cake (just the sides) and painted in grey for the mortar, modelled a builder with a mug of tea and sat him on the top, surrounded by all sorts of builders tools, all made of fondant.

I’ve just Googled “brick layer cake” and there are some good designs under the Images tab.

Also Lorraine McKay has a handyman cake design which may give you some ideas that you could adapt.
