Hi can anyone give me a recipe for a 7 inch round maderia thanx x

Hi, for a 7″ round Madeira cake: 185g butter, 185g caster sugar, 3 medium eggs, 250g SR flour, oven temp 160C/325F. Grease and line tin, I put all the ingredients in my mixer on slow speed until they start to come together then increas speed and beat for 1 minute. Put mixture in tin and level, tap to remove any air bubbles. My recipe gives baking time as 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 hours, but I check after 40 mins and take out when skewer comes out clean when inserted into cake. There are lots of recipes out there, it’s just a case of tweaking one to suit you. Good luck
