any tips for a safe package to transport my cake?

I experienced bumpy road and sudden brake while I was in the vehicle with my cake.
Is there any good brand of boxes that you recommend?
and how should i minimise the risk of the cake being deformed during the transporting?
thanks!

Hi daymuffin

Transporting cakes can be a nightmare but there are safe ways of doing it. Take a peek at the following inexpensive stacking system here: http://www.sturdycakestackers.com/products/

For more information on transporting ckaes, click on the relevant topics in the following link for hints and tips:

Fully stacked cakes can be transported in appropriate boxes like this:

To see other suppliers just google ‘ cake boxes for stacked cakes’. It’s worth shopping around as prices and postage do vary, sometimes substantially.
Hope this info helps.

in hongkong, we don’t have much choices in buying boxes
all look the same and i doubt their strength on holding heavy cakes.

Hi daymuffin

The links I’ve set for you probably will not be much help to you in Hong Kong, although the suppliers do ship worldwide. However you can order these boxes online, I’m sure you will be able to source the boxes and other equipment from the Chinese online market. I buy quite a lot of stuff on ebay, most of it comes from China free postage. Do you have to pay carriage when ordering from China? In the Uk most of us are unaware of how postal services work in other countries. We tend to have a moan but really we’re very lucky.
