In the chocolate mud cake and the sponge cake tutorial is the temperature for the oven in Fahrenheit or Celsius? I live in the Americas and wasn’t sure? Thank you

The temperature is in Celsius in a non fan assisted oven. I don’t know whether you have fan assisted ovens, if you do the temperature has to be reduced by between 10 – 20 degrees. Hope this helps.

Hi ,i was of the opinion that you should not use the fan assist when baking a mudcake ..is that info incorrect..thanks

I read some of responses to the chocolate cake and half say degrees and the other say Celsius …thank you for responding quickly….love your tutorials

In this country we bake all cakes in either type of oven. The temperature setting is reduced for fan according to the recipe instructions and also by the advice given in the manufacturers hand book. I can’t say that I have ever heard mud cakes should not be baked in FA ovens.
