Hi

I need to make a barney cake in 3d. Do you think I could use the teddy cake format.

Also for the head should I make this with rice Krispy treat worried about his mouth as this needs to be open slightly. Was going to try and cake a dowel it.

I made a rice krispy dragon which looked fairly similar shape to Barney. For that I used two pudding basins and made the arms, legs and mouth with fondant as in the teddy tutorial. You could do the same with Barney, except yours would be cake or, use the teddy format and carve that into shape. I think using rice krispy treats for the head would be sensible thing to do, Barney has got a pretty pronounced mouth! I think you would have to dowel him, his head is big and would need supporting for added security. Hope this helps.
