Hi
I would like to take my cake decorating to the next level, could you please advise where to start!
So far I can make, ganache or butter ice an cake and apply fondant!
Should I be working on my piping skills or just jump straight in and start with fondant figures and flowers
Please help

Hi Galizy70
It depends at the type of work you’d like to be most proficient. Paul mainly teaches us skills in carving 3D cakes, model and flower making and design. He has covered basic piping skills. The Queen of Hearts flower basket tutorial has touched on how to pipe with buttercream. You could combine all the skills, learn all the things essential for the lessons which Paul teaches and perhaps learn some piping skills from youtube tutorials. It’s good to dabble in a little of everything but keep focused on what you want to be doing the most of.
I expect other members will relate what they focus on most.
Thank you so much! I am struggling as to where to start
