Welcome to the Cake Decorators Q&A
Blush Pink
Hi,
Whats the best way to get blush pink on fondant? Is ivory sugar paste better rather than white to begin with?
My second Q is when preparing a fruit cake for a tiered structure, I need to add more drums to get the height (about 2 inches). Do you ganache them together first and then stick the cake with royal icing? or is there a better way to do this? thanks

Try small amounts of pink and peach or a little pink and a little ivory. Be careful with the ivory as it can turn quite orange. It’s really a case of trying little at a time until you get the shade you want. Colour develops so let it sit for a few hours to get a true shade.
Paul has been sticking them together with hot glue from a glue gun. However it can be done with royal icing or ganache too. Personally I don’t like fruit cake touching foil so I always stick down a round of parchment on the foil boards before placing the cake on. You can use royal icing, ganache or melted chocolate to secure the cake.
