Hi im making the body builder cake (minus tools) for a friend whose gym mad and obsessed with his body but i don’t have an airbrush so any suggestions as to what lustres would work best to make the shadows around the muscles…bare in mind i will be using a lighter skin tone than the teddy bear brown which paul uses. Depends really what colour base you’re using. I think you’d have a better feel for the colours by experimenting with pinks, brown, bronze and copper, just have a play on some spare icing. To lighten dust colours I usually mix with a little icing sugar and build the colour up little by little instead of using a block colour all at once. It can be done with lustres as well. That’s how I do it, other members may have another way.
