Bow cake
Hi all,
I was really pleased with my efforts when following the bow celebration cake recently however I really struggled to keep the bow in the desired position. I kneaded together half flower and half sugar paste to make the shape but it still wouldn’t stay rigid while drying even with the help of spaghetti, any suggestions please? Thank you!

Hi natalie_kingsmill
What you can do is roll up some parchment paper and insert into the loops and dry them standing up. The parchement just slides out once the gumpaste harden. Attach the two loops together with a little royal icing and add the little triangle piece in the same way. The tails can be made up fresh so that you can arrange them in a the way you want. Here is another tutorial http://cakecentral.com/b/tutorial/fondant-bows which may help.
