Buttercream quantity
Hi im looking for some advice on using your calculator
say your calculater says 1800g of buttercream for 8 inch cake is the amount needed once its made or do i use
600g butter
1200g icing sugar ?
I do a 1-2 ratio for buttercream so is the recommended amount on your calculator the weight of butter n icing sugar or amount once the buttercream is made?
Sorry if this seems a silly question i find butttercream i nightmare i either dont do enough or do to much and have to make more or throw away left over .lol

Hi Lynn bainbridge
The amount shown in the calculator is the total amount once made. All you have to do is select the size of cake, the shape, depth, and number of layers, and it calculate it for you. However, the amount show in the calculator is a guide to ensure that you don’t make too much or too little. It depends on how thick or how thin you like to cover and fill your cakes. 🙂
