Hi I have just watched the tutorial on double barrelled Cakes and see there is a card put in the middle of each layer to help with cutting.I use clear alcohol to clean the surfaces if my cards/boards but how do you ensure the paper covered base of the card which is coming in contact with the Cake is clean?Thanks

I sometimes flip the card over or make a fresh parchment backing to the board and stick it down with melted chocolate. Available also are the poly coated cake cards which are wipe clean, like this:
