Cake cutting knives or other ways to cut?
Hi
Can anyone recommend a good knife to buy for cutting cakes. One that’s long enough and cuts nicely. Or if there’s a better way of cutting cakes, any suggestions welcomed.
Many thanks

Hi Scoffacake
There’s a couple of good suggestions here:
Don’t buy serrated knives with pointed serrations, they cut the cake into shreds. The serration on my Gustav knives ( I have extra long, long and short which is called a tomatoe knife) are smooth but very, very sharp. I like the extra long one for the large cakes because it cuts all the way around without having to stop, the long knife for medium and small cakes, the tomato knife for small area carving and shaping.
I’m sure more members will share the types they use.
