Hi all
I have made a chocolate sponge that I need for sat night.
I baked it this evening. And will need to cover with fondant etc..
On weds is the too early? Also what would be the best storage for the cake
Until weds?
Many thanks Sarah x

Hi Sarah

You can freeze the cake until required. Wrap it up well in several layers of cling film and some foil. Pop it in a cake box so it’s protected from food smells and bumps. Take it out of the freezer the day before you need to decorate and defrost in the fridge or room temp still in it’s wrapping to retain mositure. Once the cake is decorated place it in a card board cake box and store in a cool room away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
