Has anyone made a caramel chocolate ganache
Hi Im making a toffee cake santa and wondered if anyone had made a caramel chocolate ganache, soft for inside and similar to chocolate ganache for the coating. Fancied trying something different for a change. Any answers would be helpful. Thanks xx

Hello winnie
I expect you’ve probably made up your carmel ganache by now. However if you’re still looking for a caramel ganache recipe you’ll find several online. Some are straightforwrd make from scratch and other easier ones which use caramel condensed milk. Here is one which has to be made with home made caramel syrup

It has full instructions. I would recommend using a large non stick saucepan to prevent the syrup from sticking. Once the cream is added it does bubble quite high so better to have a larger pan.
An easier recipe using condensed milk can be found here:

The recipe asks for Nestle top an fill which is the same as our carnation caramel condensed milk, and the thick cream must be our double cream.
Hope this helps, happy Christmas. x

Hi winnie
Looking forward to seeing your santa! Did you use the scratch recipe or the carnation caramel condensed milk one? x
Thanks winnie, nice first hand feedback, now other members can use the recipe with confidence! xx
