Hello everyone. If someone asks for a carrot cake as a birthday or wedding cake should it have a filling and if so what would you recommend?

When I make carrot cake I always use a cream cheese frosting

Vanilla buttercream works as well

I am new to cake decorating, can l use fondant after the cream cheese frosting.

Its not recommended you would be better using white chocolate ganache with vanilla,lemon or pineapple flavouring

I made carrot cake with Vanilla butter cream filling and then did a crumb coat of butter cream to adhere the fondant and it was lovely.

Thanks for your help, will try the vanilla butter cream.
