Chocolate ganache coverings

Hi guys.
Thanks for your help recently re piping gel question. I ended up with good result for first time use ?

But I need your help again. I a making a cake that it final covering is chocolate ganache no icing but I want to jazz it up give it some colour and sparkle for Christmas. Do you or have you used airbrush paints to cover ganache once set or if not can you give me inspired thoughts ideas to turn my chocolate ganache into a sparkly, simmering gold effect xx again amateur trying to do new things and different ideas x
I know you guys will have the answers, you always help. Thanks in advance.

Hi Lauren

I’m pleased you managed to use the piping gel with some success. As for blinging up your ganached cake, how about doing a drip cake. There are lots of tutorials in youtube. If your airbrush colours are not water based they can be used for colouring the chocolate. Water based colours cause beading. Alternatively make up paints with lustre dusts IPA or vodka and paint by hand. Make all sorts of patterns by piping any left over ganache onto the cake. Let it set and paint it with bold colours. Other ways: Use macarons, coloured sweets, cookies, lollies, meringues or any other goodies you like to top the cake! Go crazy!!
