Covering a number 8 cake with Fondant

Hello cake lovers, please can anyone give advice on covering a number 8 cake. Can’t find anything on line for a figure 8. Am slightly worried about covering the cake especially the two round bits in the middle. Am doing an 18th birthday cake for my son. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hi NikNika42

You’d do the 8 in the same way as an 0. Here is an answer to a previous question:

Covering number cake tins

Hope it helps! x

Dear Madeitwithlove thanks so much for pointing me to the answer. I did search the site before but couldn’t find anything on covering number cakes. You are a star.

Hi NikNak42

You are very welcome! The site is getting bigger and bigger, there are so many answers now that it isn’t always easy to find what we’re looking for. I hope you manage to get your no 8 done. Wish a very happy birthday to your son. Your little boy is going to be a man! Bless xx
